The Sidewinder and PCI Compliance
Brush Sidewinder credit card readers are built to help system integrators achieve PCI compliance in their end-to-end payment systems. The readers are constructed of durable, vandal resistant materials. The SideWinder does not store data, or transmit data over a public network. All of the Sidewinder's digital conversion electronics are completely encased in epoxy, protecting them from being accessed. The same features that make the Sidewinder waterproof help make it PCI compliant! Further, the metal base plate allows the mounting of the reader to be secure, passing the signal from the card that is being read to the "behind-the-wall" system of the integrator.
